I've known Jack for a while so I was over the moon when he asked me to be a part of his and Lauren's special day, capturing every moment of it.
Jack and Lauren chose to have their festival themed wedding at East Mersea Hall, and their ceremony was held at St Edmund Church which was a few metres walk across. The hall is such a beautiful venue with so many scenic photo opportunities, especially when golden hour hits. At night, the lake glows from the lights that surround it. I had a moment to myself out here after a busy day and it was so peaceful. It was lovely to see and hear everyone enjoying themselves in the background. Check out the photos in this post to see just how stunning it is. A special shoutout to all the amazing staff there too! I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking.
The entire day was a blast from start to finish. I ventured round the grounds in the morning and then popped in to see how Jack was getting on with the setting up. Pretty much all of their decor was made by them, and they did an absolutely amazing job! It really did have the festival vibe.
Later on in the morning, Carl and I managed to fit in a trip to Jack's parents house to photograph Jack getting ready... something we never originally planned for! Once we got back to the venue we were ready to capture Lauren in her beautiful dress and do the first look with her bridesmaids and her dad. It was an emotional moment for everyone, and even I had to hold back the tears!
The weather was dry and cloudy, but as hoped the sun didn't shy away for too long and I was able to capture Jack and Lauren's marriage under the golden hues that broke through the clouds.
I was not disappointed when it came to party time... live music, Jack in a tutu skirt (check out the photos below), beer pong, some very strong cocktails and my favourite....very lively guests on the dance floor.
It was a day filled with love and a lot of laughter, all thanks to the amazing Bride and Groom and their amazing guests. Another final shoutout to the groomsmen for helping me with various photos, you were all amazing!
Here's a few photos from the day! If you would like to see more photos from their day click here.
