FAQ'S
We don't like our photo being taken, how do you deal with this?
I hear this from nearly every couple I speak to, and I understand as I would feel the same! I focus more on having fun and just capturing what comes from that. I encourage my couples to be as genuine as possible, as I want to capture you authentically. If you both like to be silly, then go for it!!
Do I need a second photographer?
It is entirely up to you! If you are having a small wedding it would be overkill to have two photographers. If you're having a wedding with over 150+ guests, for example, it's not essential to have a second photographer but it would definitely be recommended. If you would also like multiple angles of your ceremony, one of us can be up at the front where the action is happening, the other at the back of the venue.
what happens about formal photos?
Formal photos are still quite an important part of the day, even though I mostly focus on candid moments. Parents love them, and they end up being printed out for the mantlepiece or hung on the wall.
I have a system in place on how best to get them done without taking up huge amounts of time on the day. My first tip is to aim for a maximum of around 12 groups. Any more than this and we will be using up a lot of your drinks reception time. It's also always best to have a few trusty helpers on board (with a copy of the shot list) to help me round everyone up. You can even give your guests a heads up if they're in a photo or not, as they will then know to stick around and not disappear! When everyone co-operates, we can bash these formal photos out and then go back to enjoying the drinks and canapes!
What equipment do you use?
I'm a Canon girl! I will use 2 cameras on the day with different lenses on each, and I always have a spare camera in my bag in case the worst happened and one of them stopped working! I have plenty of flash guns for when it's party time, or if you want some creative couple shots in the dark!
What if you are sick and can't photograph my wedding?
I would hope that I never have to deal with this problem, and in the 5 years I have been doing this I have never missed a wedding! But, if the unfortunate situation were to happen, I have some lovely colleagues who have a similar approach to me and I can trust to step in for me.
If I can't be there on the day, I will still be dealing with all the editing and delivery of your photos as usual!
Do you provide retouching, colour adjustment, and other corrective services?
As standard I will colour correct and retouch all photos where needed, and this is all included in the package price. My editing style is natural so your images will not be overworked, but will reflect the day as accurately as possible.
If you would like me to retouch things such as skin, teeth etc this will be subject to a fee. This is because of the time it takes to edit images in more depth.
Are there any hidden costs?
There are no hidden costs, all prices you see are what you pay. Extra's such as travel costs etc will be discussed beforehand.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
Usually between 4-8 weeks. However, this may be slightly longer during busier periods, or if I have another wedding close to yours. I will always keep in touch to let you know if they will be earlier or later.
Are you insured?
Yes I am fully insured.
