About me

A little bit about me...

I actually have 2 strings to my bow... aside from being a wedding photographer, I am also a qualified ISTD Classical Ballet and Modern teacher! I have been dancing since I was 5, a teaching assistant since I was 12, and enjoyed it so much I decided to take on the teacher training course after I graduated from University with my BA (Hons) Photography degree. I love doing both jobs and I am extremely lucky that this is what I get to do for a living.

My background in photography started when I was quite young and I got given my first digital camera. All I took were photos of mainly flowers and my cats (I love cats). I took photography at A Level and this is where I found my love for portraiture. In 2018 I completed my BA (Hons) Photography degree at Norwich University of the Arts. I focused on studio portraits but I specialised in beauty photography - this is where I also found my love of retouching and learnt to retouch portraits to industry standards. By this point you're probably wondering where I fell into wedding photography...

My best friend from University asked me to be her second shooter at a wedding she was doing, and I absolutely loved it! We are both second shooters for each other now, so if you ever book 2 photographers with me you'll be getting a dream team! I had so much fun helping her photograph the wedding that I took the jump to start it on my own... and here we are!

I build great relationships with all of my couples as I feel it's extremely important to be comfortable with each other before the big day - no one wants to feel awkward! I'm ready to help calm any nerves, straighten the grooms tie/fix the brides hair, and in some cases I am the hypewoman on the dance floor and getting the best dance moves possible out of your guests (and the best photos for you to look back on!).

"An absolutely amazing service from beginning to end… Shannon was incredibly helpful from way back when we booked her with a zoom call due to Covid. When we were able to finally meet in person to discuss further details she also offered us a pre-wedding shoot. We were able to get our fur baby involved in this which was amazing as he would have been too nervous to be at our wedding day. From the moment we had this shoot we knew we’d feel super at ease on our big day. Shannon exceeded all expectations we had on our wedding day and every photo taken naturally captured both us and each of our guests so perfectly. She went above and beyond and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone. She is super professional and extremely organised, we are so thankful for her. Shannon even used dried sunflower petals in the photo presentation box as they were the flowers from our wedding, which added a personal and thoughtful touch. She has been such a huge part of our entire wedding process, it would have not been nearly as perfect without her and she has also become a great friend of ours."

"Shannon did the photos for our wedding which was on 30th August 2021. Everyone said how good and unobtrusive she was and that she managed to capture the formal aswell as the informal moments.
We also had a pre-wedding photo shoot. This photoshoot was a great way for us to get acquainted with each other and for Shannon to see how best for us to pose. This was a great afternoon, we all had a good laugh.
When we received our photos they were presented in a well made wooden box which included our selection of high quality hard copies, aswell as a lovely wood encased memory stick with all of our wedding photos on it.
All of these photos were of high resolution and have had many comments from our guests about how well they captured the atmosphere of the day. The overall result is a really good record of a lovely day and we cannot thank Shannon enough for being absolutely amazing on the day and our wonderful photos."

Thank you so much Shannon! Shannon has been amazing from start to finish with our wedding(s) we had a small ceremony during lock down and Shannon was simply amazing! We then booked again for our main wedding this December and Shannon has been calm and a friendly face the whole way through, we had numerous telephone calls checking how our plans were coming along and Shannon made sure she had all the information she needed to get the most fantastic photos!
On the big day Shannon arrived, her normal cheery self and instantly put a stressed Bride and Groom at ease as she did her thing! All our guests said how fantastic she was on the night & she was friendly to everyone she came across and blended in so well!
And when we got our photos back all I can say is WOW they are beautiful, she is so talented and a lot of passion goes into her work from start to finish. The box was beautifully presented and we are over the moon with everything Shannon has done for us. We would a million percent recommend her for any occasion.

"Shannon was wonderful from start to finish! We had a team meeting to go over all our requirements, Shannon made us feel very comfortable and was always professional. We knew we were in good hands.  We went over what type of photos we would like and who we would want in them to ensure everyone was included. On the day of the wedding Shannon made sure to capture all our special memories and all our loved ones. She was always there to help throughout the day and was such a joy! I would highly recommend her as we are over joyed with our photos. Especially the photo box and USB - such a special touch and great keep sake for the future."
