Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Shannon Parker Photography uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website.

Shannon Parker Photography is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should I ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What information I collect:

When you first get in touch with me, it’s usually via the contact form on my website, via email, or social media. I collect your:

  • names,

  • email address,

  • mobile phone number,

  • event date and venue.

How do I collect and store your information:

This information collected via the contact form on my website and is attached to my client management software, which is a GDPR compliant company. This software is where I keep all your information and is only accessible via my secure password which only I have access to.

My company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides me with the online platform that allows me to show my services to you. Your data may also be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

My website has a blog which is open to the public to comment on. If you make a comment, you can choose what personal data is shown. You can also choose to delete the comment.

Why do I collect this information:

I will use the above-mentioned data to communicate with you about your wedding or event. Sometimes I also like to inform you of any discounts I may have for albums and for other wedding-related communication. This may be done via email or phone. If you contacted me via social media, I may also contact you via this platform.

Sometimes we also connect via FaceTime/Skype/Zoom for meetings, in which case we have access to each other via webcam and those contact details too.

From time to time, I may use your information to contact you for market research purposes. I may contact you by email or phone for this.

Your data is never shared with anyone else. On the occasion that you have booked a second photographer with me to attend the wedding, they will receive an itinerary of the day and the emergency contact details in case they need it. This is in paper and email form and will be deleted after the event.

If you make an initial enquiry with me and don’t go ahead with booking me, my client management system follows up with two emails and then proceeds to delete you from my system so that your data is no longer stored.
