What a day! Emily and Ben’s wedding at Bruiseyard Country Estate was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. The sun was shining from start to finish — the kind of perfect golden light every photographer dreams of — and the whole day was filled with so much love, laughter, and pure joy.
It had been a few years since I last photographed at the beautiful Bruiseyard Country Estate (in fact, the last time was back in 2018, when I was just starting out and second shooting!). Coming back this time felt a little full-circle — the same stunning surroundings, but now with the experience and confidence that’s grown with me over the years.
Emily and Ben couldn’t have chosen a more perfect setting for their day. The grounds were glowing in the sunshine, guests relaxed on the lawns, and their adorable dog Billy made plenty of appearances — stealing hearts and camera time in equal measure. He honestly might be one of the cutest wedding guests I’ve ever met!
One of my favourite personal touches from the day was that Emily and Ben gave me my very own place setting at the table. It was such a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture, and it honestly meant the world. I ended up sitting with a group of guests who were absolute legends — by the end of dinner we’d decided we were definitely the coolest table there.
Everything about the day at Bruiseyard Country Estate felt so effortless and full of love — from the morning preparations to the golden-hour portraits and the laughter spilling onto the dance floor later on.
Emily and Ben, thank you so much for having me along to capture your day. It was a total joy to be back at such a special venue, surrounded by the best people — and, of course, Billy.
