Sophie & Stephen are both Marvel fans - this made for the perfect theme for their wedding! And what a wedding it was! An awesome couple, beautiful venue, amazing guests... the list goes on! (this was also the perfect opportunity for "dream team" to reunite once more - myself and 'Six Eight' video)

It was my first time working at Villiers Barn and I absolutely loved it. The inside of the barn itself was absolutely beautiful, not to mention the grounds it stood upon - I was obsessed! As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a beautiful Georgian house that is surrounded by a stunning garden, and an elegant lake - there were even goats and ducks to visit later on in the day. One of the best things about this venue though, (aside from the amazing staff that run it) is how stunning it looks at sunset. Golden hour cannot be missed here!!

It was a full on day from start to finish. The morning was full of laughter, and it was so great to see everyone relaxed and enjoying the morning preperations. The superhero theme was cleverly worked into the decor, with the Marvel characters featured on each table - handmade by Sophie and Stephen's friend. The cake was made by the very talented Megan (Essex Cake Shop) which included the Infinity Gauntlet' on top, from the Avengers series. Not only do her cakes look amazing, but they also taste incredible!

Later on in the day, Carl and I put on a bit of a circus act for the big group photo. Usually, I shoot from a high window so I can get a wide angle from above, but this wasn't an option. Instead, I decided to take advantage of Carl's height and sat on his shoulders. I will be honest, it was terrifying! Although, it caught the attention of all of the guests which meant that they were all looking at the camera - WIN!

As the evening approached, it was time for my favourite part of the day... Golden Hour! Thankfully, we were right on schedule because as we all know, once golden hour is gone, then it's GONE. Rest assured, we managed to make it to the field in time and IT... WAS... EPIC! I'm not going to lie... I may have even screamed with excitement (maybe once... okay, at least twice!). These ended up being some of my favourite photos from the day. It gave Sophie and Stephen some time to be alone, to catch up and have some one-on-one time before heading back at the barn - this allowed me too capture some really romantically beautiful and intimate photos. I felt honoured to be given the opportunity to capture them in their happy little newlywed bubble, and furthermore, to allow them to be able to look back with fond memories in years to come.

I would like to thank Sophie and Stephen for inviting me to stay as a guest after my photography duties were done for the day. It was great to be able to party with you, and to be a part of your special day.
