Jess & Kelly’s Bright & Joyful East Mersea Hall wedding

As a proud recommended supplier at East Mersea Hall, I absolutely love capturing weddings here — the venue, the staff, and the atmosphere are just amazing. I cannot rave enough about the incredible team at East Mersea Hall, who make every couple feel so supported and celebrated.

Jess and Kelly’s wedding is a perfect example of how fun, relaxed, and full of personality an East Mersea Hall wedding can be.

They wanted to get more comfortable in front of the camera, so we started with a pre-wedding shoot on Mersea Island. A stroll along the beach, lots of laughs, and playful poses made the session fun rather than awkward. By the time the wedding day arrived, they were total naturals! Pre-wedding shoots like this are a great way to feel confident in front of the camera and to get to know me a little before the big day.

The morning at East Mersea Hall was calm, happy, and relaxed. I worked alongside an amazing team: Joanna Plimmer, Emily from Seventy Six Salon, Michelle from Occasions and Celebrations, and Tanya from Yummy Crumbs Bakery. Their calm professionalism made everything flow smoothly, setting the tone for the day.

The decor was bright, colourful, and full of personality — just like Jess and Kelly. Kelly even 3D printed tiny shoes for each guest, complete with individual shoeboxes — such a clever, playful touch!

We were blessed with beautiful weather, and the ceremony was full of emotion, accompanied by live music from Ashleigh Wells Vocals, which continued through the drinks reception. Later in the evening, Madhu from Evo kept the dance floor alive on the saxophone, and Sarah from Candid Camper Van Photo Booth added even more fun with her quirky camper van setup.

Thanks to the pre-wedding shoot, Jess and Kelly were relaxed and playful for their couple portraits, creating natural, joyful photos. The evening finished with a trip out on the boat and a party that kicked off when Jess’s dad hit the dance floor — everyone joined in, and it was chaos in the best possible way!

Jess and Kelly’s East Mersea Hall wedding was bright, fun, and unforgettable — and I feel so lucky to be a recommended supplier at such a wonderful venue, capturing these magical days over and over.
