The time finally came for these two to have their pre-wedding shoot! We had such a great afternoon, filled with a lot of laughter and smiles.
It was the first time meeting Sophie and Stephen in person as we had our first chat through zoom (like most these days) and they admitted they were a bit nervous to have their photos taken. I reassured them that we would have a fun afternoon and get to know each other better too.
I quickly discovered at the start of the shoot that we were going to get on like a house on fire because we all started watching the ducks sticking their bottoms up in the pond and thought it was hilarious! We then started discussing the fact that their wedding venue, Villier's Barn, also has a few different animals which we agreed would be great to have wedding photos with - Sophie and Stephen want to mix it up from just traditional wedding photos when their day comes and I am so here for it.
We weren't very far into the shoot before I saw the genuine love these two have for each other and how natural they were being in front of me. It was great to see that Sophie and Stephen weren't afraid to be silly with each other while I snapped away. It means that I got to capture their relationship exactly how it is, which resulted in some brilliant photos.
It's only a couple more months until Sophie and Stephen's wedding day now and I'm so excited to see everything they've been planning - I won't spoil any surprises but I can't wait to see their theme come to life at their wedding. What makes it even better is that my 2nd shooter and best friend from Uni, Tiggy, will be joining me to photograph the day alongside the brilliant Carl (Six Eight Video) again!
